Job Description
Maintenance Fitter – Day Shift | Manufacturing | Plastics

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter who enjoys hands‐on mechanical work, fault-finding and problem-solving, and wants to be part of a growing, forward‐thinking manufacturing site. About You

You'll ideally bring:
n
n
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter
n
- Solid experience in maintenance and fault-finding in a manufacturing environment
n
- Experience with injection moulding, plastics or other high‐speed manufacturing (FMCG, packaging, food & bev, automotive, printing, etc.) – highly regarded but not essential
n
- Strong hands‐on skills in hydraulics and pneumatics, including fault finding and component replacement
n
- An understanding of how electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics work together – formal mechatronics qualifications are not required as long as you have good troubleshooting experience
n
- Disconnect/reconnect licence, or the willingness to obtain one with employer support
n
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented, "no dramas" attitude
n
- A strong work ethic, reliability and the drive to take ownership of issues and follow through – the leadership team is particularly keen on someone with initiative and energy.
n
n
The Company & Site
n
This role is with a well‐established, rapidly growing manufacturing facility in Moorabbin that has a robust track record of investing in new machinery, automation and site improvements. Turnover has grown significantly over the past few years, backed by ongoing capital spend and a focus on innovation. Leadership is trade‐experienced and supportive, and the culture values skill, initiative and collaboration.
n
You'll be joining a business that's serious about reliability, Industry 4.0 and predictive maintenance, and that sees maintenance as a key part of its success – not just a cost centre.
