Junior Mechatronics Engineer | Brisbane | Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics

I'm looking for a Junior Mechatronics or electrical engineer who wants genuine hands on exposure to robotics, AI and simulation work, joining an advanced innovation and R&D; company based in Brisbane.

This is the kind of role that's genuinely hard to find early in a career, real exposure across multiple live projects rather than sitting on one narrow workstream.

n

You'll be working in a prototyping and manufacturing environment where you design, test and build products across those projects rather than just supporting someone else's build.

n

It's suited to someone who's recently graduated or has one to two years in industry, and who wants to keep both software and hardware skills sharp rather than specialising too early.

Junior Mechatronics Engineer Responsibilities

- Support the design, prototyping, testing and build of robotics and automation products across multiple concurrent projects.
n
- Work across both software and hardware as project needs shift,



from control systems and robotics software through to embedded systems, sensors and physical build work.
n
- Collaborate with senior engineers on innovation projects spanning cobotics, simulation and Industry applications.
n
- Contribute to documentation, testing cycles and iteration as prototypes move toward production readiness.

Junior Mechatronics Engineer Requirements

- A Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering degree, or a closely related qualification. Recently graduated or up to two years commercial experience.
n
- Comfort working across software and hardware, ROS, Python or C++ experience is a strong plus but not mandatory if your fundamentals and hands on build experience are robust.
n
- Some evidence of having built and tested something end to end, whether through university projects, robotics competitions like FRC or Robocup, personal builds, or early career work.

This is a full time, permanent role based in Brisbane.
