The Chance
n
Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, the Group HSEQ Manager will provide strategic oversight and leadership of the company's integrated management systems, regulatory compliance obligations and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
You will be the primary HSEQ leader across the business, supporting project teams, site personnel and senior management while ensuring best practice standards are maintained and enhanced.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Leadership & Strategy
n
n
- Develop and implement the Group HSEQ Strategy aligned with business objectives.
n
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
n
- Provide expert HSEQ advice and guidance to senior leaders, project teams and operational staff.
n
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HSEQ matters across the Group.
n
n
Compliance & Management Systems
n
n
- Manage and continuously improve Attcall's Integrated Management System (IMS).
n
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
n
- Ensure compliance with NSW Work Health & Safety legislation, environmental regulations and industry Codes of Practice.
n
- Manage legislative, licensing and certification registers and reporting obligations.
n
- Coordinate internal and external audits, accreditations and surveillance activities.
n
n
Risk, Safety & Incident Management
n
n
- Lead risk assessments, SWMS reviews and hazard identification processes.
n
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
n
- Coordinate critical incident response and regulatory notifications.
n
- Oversee injury management and return-to-work programs.
n
n
Training & Culture
n
n
- Deliver and oversee inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing HSEQ training.
n
- Create awareness campaigns and educational materials.
n
- Communicate legislative and procedural changes across the organisation.
n
- Drive employee engagement and positive safety behaviours.
n
n
Reporting & Performance
n
n
- Monitor and report on HSEQ performance metrics and trends.
n
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and risk reduction.
n
- Ensure corrective actions and audit findings are closed out within required timeframes.
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
Essential
n
n
- Minimum 10 years' HSEQ experience in a senior leadership role.
n
- Experience within civil construction,
infrastructure, earthworks and/or haulage environments.
n
- Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, regulations and environmental compliance.
n
- Demonstrated success managing HSEQ systems across multiple sites.
n
- Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence positive cultural change.
n
- Proficiency with HSEQ management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Workplace Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management or related discipline.
n
- Lead Auditor qualifications in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 highly regarded.
n
n
