What's the opportunity?

Operating as Black Bag Roasters we have a purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art equipment. This site is a monumental milestone for Nomad Coffee Group and positions the company for some exciting growth.

n

We are currently seeking a full-timeProduction Operator. This position is the ideal way to mutli-skill across three areas of our production faciltiy; coffee roasting, forklift driving and machine operating. You will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and develop into a complete coffee skilled.

n

This is a full-time permanent position, you must be available to work:

n

Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm

n

Saturday 5.30am to 2.00pm

n

Key facets of the role:

n

n
- Operating Brambati green loading and 600kg Roaster, maintaining a continuous flow of product. + achieving production targets.
n
- Operating fully automated Rovema packing machine including case packer and palletiser
n
- Maintain continuous flow of product throughout production process
n
- Preparing and completing accurate records for QC, maintenance and safety.
n
- Receiving, moving, checking, and storing all green bean goods between the warehouse, green bean storage facility and holding bins;
n
- Assist with staging, cleaning,



and housekeeping tasks within the facility
n
- Effectively communicate with production supervisors and roasters on roasting schedules to determine beans required/queuing arrangements
n
- Safely operating the forklift and other industrial tools;
n
- Committed to safety and quality assurance, and SQF procedures.
n
- Utilising and analysing roasting software.
n
- General cleaning and housekeeping.
n

What skills and knowledge do I need?

n

n
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
n
- Previous roasting experience and coffee quality knowledge is prefered but not essential.
n
- A mechanically-minded individual with a high aptitude in automated equipment operation.
n
- An understanding of SQF, HACCP and GMP with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
n
- Committed to quality in a high-volume environment.
n
- Ability to follow policy, procedures and instructions.
n
- Confidence using technology & systems.
n
- Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines under pressure in fast-moving environment.
n
- A high level of communication, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
