Job Description

This is an chance for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on large-scale, technically challenging systems. You will be responsible for validating software quality, identifying and resolving defects, and ensuring solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
n
The Role You will work closely with software engineers, technical specialists and customer stakeholders to plan, execute and improve testing across secure environments.

Key responsibilities include:
n

- Developing test strategies, plans, scripts, cases and supporting documentation
n
- Executing functional, integration, system and regression testing
n
- Investigating, reproducing and documenting software defects
n
- Communicating technical issues clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders
n
- Testing systems hosted across internal and external environments
n
- Using product knowledge to conduct investigative and exploratory testing
n
- Adapting test approaches to suit different stages of the delivery lifecycle
n
- Contributing to technical discussions, engineering practices and continuous improvement
n
- Supporting the deployment and integration of bespoke and commercial software components
n

About You
n
You will bring at least three years' experience in software testing, systems integration or a related engineering environment.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
- Experience translating functional and non-functional requirements into effective test cases
n
- Strong experience writing test plans, test cases and test reports
n
- Experience across functional, integration, system and regression testing
n
- Experience working in secure or restricted environments with limited tooling
n
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern software delivery processes
n
- Experience using defect and test management tools
n
- Strong Linux experience, preferably within RHEL environments
n
- Hands-on experience with networking tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
n
- Experience deploying, integrating or supporting systems involving bespoke and COTS components
n
n
Experience with scripting, object-oriented programming, test automation frameworks or Cross Domain Solutions will be highly regarded.
n
