About the Role

n

An exciting opportunity exists with this joint appointment which provides an opportunity for a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in cardiac pacing and arrhythmia management to contribute across both a tertiary metropolitan service (SVHM) and a regional health service (GVH).

n

Key duties

n

n
- Provide clinical oversight of pacemaker and cardiac device clinics at both sites:n n
- SVHM: 3.5 hours per week
n
- GVH: Up to 7 hours per week
n

n
- Supervise cardiac technologists/scientists and nursing staff in device interrogation and programming of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED)
n
- Review device data and ensure appropriate clinical management plans
n
- Support complex device troubleshooting and clinical decision-making
n
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
n
- Contribute to quality assurance, safety, and accreditation processes within device services
n

Your Contribution

n

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology
n
- AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner with specialist recognition
n
- Demonstrated expertise in cardiac pacing and device management
n
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
n
