About You

n





You will have experience running a kitchen within an Aged Care Facility which will ensure you feel comfortable stepping in to manage all facets of Food Services. You will have the ability to lead the day-to-day production with the assistance of kitchen hands and accept responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen.

The Role

n

n
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring that food is prepared safely and hygienically.
n
- Ensure food is prepared to a high standard of quality and presentation, and check supplies to confirm freshness and suitability.
n
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
n
- Follow food safety rules, hygiene standards, and other regulations for serving food in Aged Care Facilities.
n

Requirements

n

n
- Minimum of 12 months experience in any sector
n
- Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Cert IV in Commercial cookery/ Diploma in hospitality)
n
- Food Safety and Handling Certificate
n
- Valid National Police Check
n
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (in line with state requirements)
n
- Valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and mobile phone
n
