Female Disability Support Worker | Toukley
n Complex care experience required | Regular two-week roster | Short, consistent shifts
n Nextt is seeking experienced and reliable FEMALE Disability Support Workers to provide ongoing support to a participant living with quadriplegia in Toukley, Newcastle.

n

Due to the client's preference and support requirements, this position is open to female applicants only.

n

This role would suit someone who is confident providing complex personal care and enjoys building a respectful, positive and skilled relationship with the person they support.

n

About the Role

n

You will assist the participant with personal care, health-related routines, meals, medication and daily living support while promoting dignity, comfort, choice and independence.
n Support may include:

n

- Personal care
n
- Bowel and catheter care
n
- Hoist transfers and manual handling
n
- Medication assistance
n
- Meal preparation and feeding support
n
- Repositioning
n
- Supporting the participant's daily routines
n

n

Available Shifts

n

The roster operates across a repeating two-week cycle.

n

Week 1:

n

n
- Monday 8:00am–10:00am and 1:00pm–3:00pm
n
- Tuesday 8:00am–10:00am and 7:00pm–9:00pm
n
- Wednesday 8:00am–10:00am
n
- Thursday 7:00pm–9:00pm
n
- Friday 8:0am–10:00am
n
- Saturday 8:00am–10:00am
n




- Sunday 1:00pm–3:00pm
n

Week 2:

- Monday 8:00am–10:00am
n
- Tuesday 8:00am–10:00am
n
- Wednesday 8:00am–10:00am
n
- Thursday 7:00pm–9:00pm
n
- Friday 8:00am–10:00am and 1:00pm–3:00pm

- Saturday 8:00am–10:00am

- Sunday 8:00am–10:00am

Previous experience supporting a person with quadriplegia or spinal cord injury will be highly regarded.

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current Working With Children Check
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
- NDIS Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
n
- Relevant complex care and manual handling experience
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Reliable transport
n

Pay Rates

n

E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

- Base hourly rate: $36.81
n
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
n
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday)$41.23
n
- Saturday: $51.54
n
- Sunday: $66.26
n
- Public holiday: $80.99
n
