Core4 delivers commercial construction, fit-outs and property services across Australia and New Zealand. With continued business growth, we are looking for an experienced Drafter / Pre-Construction Coordinator to join the Core4 family and become part of our Projects team.

n

Working alongside our Design Managers, Estimators and Project Managers, you'll play an significant role in developing construction documentation while supporting the planning and coordination that sets projects up for success.

n

Unlike a traditional drafting role, you'll see your projects through from concept to construction, working closely with the people who price, build and deliver them.

n

What you'll be doing

n

Prepare high-quality drawing packages including concept designs, design development, Development Applications (DA), building approval documentation, construction drawings and as-built drawings.

n

Coordinate and update drawing packages throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating feedback from clients, consultants and construction teams.

n

Work closely with Design Managers, consultants and project stakeholders to produce practical, coordinated and construction-ready documentation.

n

Assist with tender preparation, design reviews, value engineering, scope development and other pre-construction activities.

n

Prepare documentation for development applications, building approvals and consultant coordination.

n

Ensure documentation complies with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, local authority requirements and company standards.

n

Maintain drawing registers, document control and project records.

n





Contribute to improving drafting standards, templates and pre-construction processes.

n

What you'll bring

n

2 years' experience as a Drafter, Architectural Draftsperson or similar role within commercial construction, fit-outs or the building industry.

n

Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit experience will be highly regarded).

n

A solid understanding of construction documentation and detailing.

n

Knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and approval processes.

n

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

n

The ability to work collaboratively with designers, estimators, project managers, consultants and clients.

n

Experience supporting estimating or pre-construction activities will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
