What is the opportunity?

n

Thomas Borthwick & Sons is seeking a full-time Electrician capable of working rotating Monday – Friday shifts and dedicated to completing electrical repairs and maintenance to applicable standards.

n

What skills are we looking for?

n

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting on a wide range of electrical systems and plant equipment in compliance with AS/NZS 300 standards.

n

Respond quickly and efficiently to production breakdown to support daily operations with a view to minimizing downtime.

n

Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and support planned work orders

n

Program and diagnose faults on PLC's and MCC control rooms

n





Assist with upgrades, installations and electrical project work and shut downs

n

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

n

Analyse root causes of equipment failure and implement preventive solutions

n

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

n

Maintain tools and equipment, and workplace to high a safety and cleanliness standard.

n

Support and mentor apprentices and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety procedures

n

What experience are we looking for?

n

Current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License

n

Solid experience in an industrial maintenance environment, ideally in a food or manufacturing setting( desirable /not essential)

n

Proficiency with PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems

n

Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset

n

Must have current Australian work authorisation at time of application
