The opportunity

n

This is a senior Pre-Sales role for a Network Security Architect who can design secure connectivity from the ground up covering everything from telco carriage, the SD-WAN, and the SSE and SASE security layer, all wrapped within a managed services offering. You will take ownership of the technical solution for our network and security solutions, and presenting them directly to customers.

We provide the underlying network circuits as well as the overlay, enabling you to design end- to- end solutions where the carriage and the security are delivered as a single, integrated managed service, something few providers can offer . The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable talking WAN circuits and talking zero trust.

What you'll do

n

n




- Lead technical discovery and design secure network solutions end to end — underlay carriage, SD-WAN, and SSE and SASE security.
n
- Architect SASE and SSE solutions (Netskope, Zscaler, or equivalent): secure web gateway, ZTNA, CASB, DLP, and firewall-as-a-service.
n
- Design managed connectivity services, including carrier networks, WAN, SD-WAN, internet services and hybrid cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure and Microsoft environments), bringing together the underlay and security overlay into a single managed solution.
n
- Design managed firewall, network, and security services with clear service levels.
n
- Write Statements of Work and proposals; own solution scope and margin.
n
- Present and defend architectures to senior technical and business stakeholders.
n
- Work with our vendor partners, including Netskope, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
n
- Hand designs cleanly to delivery and support mobilisation.
n
- Support sales opportunities from discovery through solution design, technical validation and successful deal closure.
n
- Balance customer outcomes with commercial viability, ensuring solutions are technically sound, competitive and profitable.

What you'll bring (must-haves)

n

n
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) designing enterprise networking and security solutions in consulting, systems integration, telecommunications or managed services environments.
n
- Deep network security architecture experience — firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar), SD-WAN,



and zero-trust design.
n
- Hands-on SSE and SASE design experience across secure web gateway, ZTNA, CASB, DLP, and firewall-as-a-service.
n
- Real telco and carriage experience — WAN circuits, fibre, NBN and mobile, SD-WAN over managed underlay, and carrier management.
n
- Managed services experience — designing and running managed network and security services to defined service levels.
n
- Pre-sales capability — discovery, design, Statements of Work, proposals, and customer presentations.
n
- The seniority and presence to lead customer conversations.
n
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into explicit business outcomes for both technical and executive audiences.
n
- Australian working rights.
n

Nice to have

- Netskope and/or CrowdStrike certification or delivery experience.
n
- Security certifications such as CISSP, or vendor network-security tracks.
n
- Exposure to OT and ICs network segmentation.
