The Role

n

Established Smithfield precast manufacturer seeking a Precast Design Manager to lead our design and drafting team. You will run the design process end to end - from Contract Award through to issued-for-construction shop drawings for residential, commercial and industrial projects across NSW and ACT.

Reporting directly to the N.S.W Design Manager.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Lead, check and mentor the design and drafting team.
n
- Manage design from tender review through to construction/ production release.
n
- Approve panel layouts, connections, lifting and bracing details.
n
- Ensure compliance with AS 3600, AS 3850 and the NCC.
n
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, builders, services and temporary works certifiers.
n
- Control drawing registers, revisions and RFIs.
n
- Make sure drawings suit what our factory can actually build.

- Support site teams through delivery and erection.
n

What You'll Bring

n

- Strong knowledge of AS 3600 and AS 3850.
n
- Skills in 3D Modelling (Revit and Tekla).
n
- Ability to lead a team and hit deadlines.
n
- Experience in Office 365..
n
- Assist with introducing AI solutions to streamline Job process.
