Job Description

Harry the Hirer Productions is seeking an experienced, highly organised and solutions-focused Resource & Scheduling Manager to lead the coordination of our NSW production workforce.

Working closely with our Operations Managers, Project Managers and production teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring the right people and resources are scheduled across our busy portfolio of events, exhibitions and live productions.

n

This is a fast-paced and highly visible position suited to someone who enjoys solving complex scheduling challenges, building strong relationships and keeping multiple moving parts on track.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manage the scheduling and rostering of full-time, casual and contract production personnel across NSW events and exhibitions
n
- Coordinate labour requirements with Operations Managers and Project Managers
n
- Respond quickly and effectively to daily changes in crew requirements, availability and onsite schedules
n
- Maintain accurate oversight of employee, casual and contractor availability
n
- Forecast short-term and long-term labour requirements across upcoming projects
n
- Monitor labour allocation against project budgets and operational requirements
n
- Identify potential resource shortages, scheduling conflicts and workforce risks before they affect delivery
n
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with crew, managers, clients and external partners
n
- Support interstate resource planning and rostering requirements across our Victorian and Queensland operations
n
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of scheduling systems, workforce processes and operational efficiency

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience in workforce scheduling, rostering, resource planning or production coordination
n
- Experience managing complex schedules across multiple simultaneous projects or operational teams
n
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
n
- Commercial awareness, including experience forecasting labour and working within allocated budgets
n
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
- The ability to prioritise effectively in a changing, deadline-driven environment
n
- Confidence working with scheduling systems, workforce management software and Microsoft Office
n
- A collaborative, positive and solutions-focused approach
n
- Experience within live events, exhibitions, production, logistics, construction, labour hire or another fast-paced operational environment would be highly regarded
