Our client is an innovative Australian scientific company operating across the high-growth sectors of Life Sciences and Advanced Battery Technologies. Headquartered within 20 km of Brisbane's CBD, the business is continuing to expand its commercial capability and is seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the Managing Director/CEO and collaborate across technical, product, sales, and commercial teams to support strategic growth initiatives, market expansion, and business planning.

n

About the Role

n

As Business Analyst, you will deliver market research, commercial insights, and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making across multiple business units.

n

You will play a key role in market and customer analysis, forecasting, business planning, and strategic project support within a fast-paced and innovative environment.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Conduct market sizing, forecasting, and commercial analysis to support strategic planning and budgeting
n
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activity
n
- Analyse customer data to support segmentation, profiling,



and value proposition development
n
- Assess customer behaviour, feedback, and purchasing trends to support product and marketing strategies
n
- Support strategic partnership and investment initiatives, including research and stakeholder engagement
n
- Prepare reports, presentations, and insights for senior leadership and executive stakeholders
n
- Contribute to cross-functional projects supporting business growth and commercial objectives
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
n
- MBA completed or currently in progress (minimum 4 units completed)
n
- Demonstrated post-graduate professional experience in an analytical or commercial role
n
- Experience within battery technologies, life sciences, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy, or related industries highly regarded
n
- Advanced Excel skills with exposure to Power BI, Python, R, or similar analytical tools
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
n
- Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and attention to detail
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace
