Job Description

On behalf of our client, a leading player in the civil construction and infrastructure sector, we are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Multi-Skilled Operator to join the team at their asphalt plant.

This is a hands-on role ideal for an operator who enjoys variety, splitting their time between controlling the asphalt batching process, operating heavy machinery, and assisting with plant maintenance. While full site-specific training will be provided, candidates with prior experience in asphalt or concrete batching plants, and front-end loader operation will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Plant Batching: Operate the asphalt plant control systems to accurately blend raw aggregates, bitumen, and additives according to strict mix designs.
n
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate a Front End Loader to feed aggregate bins, manage stock piles, and assist with general yard duties. Operate Excavator, Dozer and Skid steer would be desirable

- Plant Maintenance: Assist with routine preventative maintenance, clearing blockages, and cleaning of the batching plant and yard to ensure optimal up time.

- Quality & Safety: Conduct basic quality checks on raw materials and finished asphalt mixes, while maintaining strict adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols.

- Inventory Monitoring:



Keep track of raw material stock levels (aggregates, binders) to ensure continuous production.

What We Are Looking For

n

n
- Industry Experience: Prior experience working in an asphalt plant, concrete batch plant, or quarry workplace is highly preferred.
n
- Batching Skills: Familiarity with automated batching software and production control systems.
n
- Tickets & Licenses: A valid Front End Loader, Excavator and Dozer ticket with experiences is highly desirable. A current driver's license and reliable transport are essential.
n
- Operational Drive: Mechanical aptitude for basic plant maintenance and the flexibility to handle early morning starts.
n
- Safety Culture: A proactive attitude toward zero-harm safety practices.
