Sales Specialist - Audio, Lighting & Vision | Retail & B2B

Brisbane Sound Group (BSG) is looking for a full-time AV Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team, working across professional audio, lighting, and vision solutions.

You'll work with a genuinely varied customer base, from musicians buying their first PA speaker, right through to schools, churches, and venues sourcing a full system.

Key Accountabilities:

n

In this role, you'll be a key part of our sales team, working across professional audio, lighting, and vision solutions on our retail showroom floor and with B2B accounts. Note: this is a sales role — physical installations and long-term projects are handled by our dedicated Installations & Projects team.

Your day will include:

n

Retail & Showroom Sales – Assisting customers in-store, over the phone, and online with quotations, product advice, and order updates. Recommending solutions that balance technical needs and budget, whether the customer is a first-time buyer or an experienced tech.

n

B2B Account Sales – Building and managing relationships with schools, churches, venues, and businesses. Understanding their needs and proposing the right audio, lighting, or vision solution.

n

Product Knowledge & Demonstrations – Providing demonstrations in our showroom, explaining audio, lighting and vision systems in a way that suits each client's experience level. This spans everything from performance spaces through to podcast and content-creator setups.

Supplier & Inventory Coordination – Liaising with suppliers on pricing and availability,



managing stock levels, and suggesting new product lines.

Team Collaboration – Working closely with colleagues to achieve sales targets, maintain showroom displays, and hand off larger project scopes to our Installations & Projects team.

Continuous Learning – Building knowledge across our full product range over time. Our sales specialists each bring a particular strength — audio or lighting — and grow into the other areas on the job.

What We're Looking For:

n

Experience in sales within the professional audio, lighting, AV or entertainment industry (preferred but not essential).

n

A background or strong interest in professional audio (live or studio) or lighting — deep experience in either is highly valued.

n

Broad understanding of professional vision and AV equipment (advantageous).

n

Comfortable moving between customer types — from entry-level musicians to B2B procurement and venue decision-makers.

n

The ability to problem-solve and deliver solutions that suit both technical needs and budget requirements.

n

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

n

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

n

Confidence negotiating with customers and suppliers.

n

Solid computer literacy and ability to learn current systems quickly.

n

Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays (once a month, or as needed).

n

Required Licences:

Open C Class Driver's Licence

n

Blue Card (or ability to obtain)

Experience or interest in skilled lighting sales — this is an area we're keen to strengthen
