About the Role

n

We are seeking a high‐performing Open Top Manager to lead and grow our Victorian operations within the waste and resource recovery sector. This is a senior leadership role with full P&L; responsibility, requiring a commercially astute leader who can drive sustainable financial performance, operational excellence, and team capability.

n

You will have end‐to‐end accountability for safety, people, customers, and profitability across the state.

Key Responsibilities

- Full P&L; ownership for the Victorian open top business, including revenue, margin, cost control, and EBIT delivery
n
- Develop and execute state business plans aligned to national strategy
n
- Drive operational efficiency across collection, processing, and disposal activities
n
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi‐disciplinary leadership team
n
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, councils, contractors, and regulators
n
- Identify and execute growth opportunities, including current contracts,



renewals, and service expansion
n
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to senior leadership
n

About You

n

n
- Proven experience as a State Manager, Regional Manager, or Senior Operations Manager
n
- Demonstrated success managing a complex P&L; in a capital‐intensive, operational environment
n
- Background in waste management, resource recovery, recycling, logistics, utilities, or heavy industry
n
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into tangible results
n
- Experience leading large, decentralised teams in safety‐critical environments
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- A hands‐on, accountable leadership style with a strong focus on performance and outcomes
n
