As a Leading Hand / Foreman, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of your assigned landscape projects while leading a small crew to produce exceptional workmanship.

You'll work closely with our Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the highest quality standard.

This is a leadership role, not just another landscaping position.

Your Responsibilities

Site Leadership

n

- Lead and supervise a crew on site each day.
n
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure productivity targets are achieved.

- Mentor apprentices and junior landscapers.

- Set the standard for workmanship, attitude and presentation.

Project Delivery

n

- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
n
- Construct all aspects of high-end residential landscapes.
n
- Coordinate daily construction sequencing.
n
- Ensure works are completed to program.
n
- Identify potential issues before they become problems.
n
- Work proactively with the Project Manager to keep projects moving.
n

n

Quality Control

n

n
- Deliver work to an exceptional standard.
n
- Complete ongoing quality inspections throughout construction.
n
- Ensure all finishes meet company expectations before progressing.
n
- Maintain tidy, organised and professional sites.
n
- Complete end-of-day housekeeping and site organisation.
n

n

Safety & Compliance

n

n
- Lead by example with workplace safety.
n
- Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox discussions where required.
n
- Ensure all Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are followed.
n
- Maintain equipment, vehicles and machinery correctly.
n
- Report hazards and incidents immediately.
n

n

Communication

n

n
- Communicate professionally with clients while on site.
n
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
n
- Provide daily updates to the Project Manager.
n
- Assist with scheduling upcoming materials and subcontractors.
n




- Identify variations or scope changes early.
n

n

Team Development

- Train apprentices in correct construction methods.
n
- Hold team members accountable to company standards.
n
- Foster a culture of continual improvement.
n
- Lead with professionalism, respect and integrity.
n

Essential Requirements

n

Applicants must have previous experience working as a Landscape Leading Hand or Foreman.

n

To be considered you will also have:

n

- Strong knowledge of residential landscape construction.
n
- Ability to read and interpret plans.
n
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
n
- High attention to detail.
n
- Ability to manage multiple trades and priorities.
n
- White Card.
n
- Current Driver's Licence.
n
