Venue Manager

We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Venue Manager to lead our hospitality operations and continue building a culture of exceptional service, strong leadership and commercial success.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead the venue through your management team—including the Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Assistant Venue Manager and Head Chef.

n

Rather than managing day-to-day service yourself, you'll focus on building capable leaders, improving systems, driving financial performance and ensuring every department consistently delivers outstanding customer experiences.

n

You'll be responsible for the overall performance of the venue, leading culture, coaching managers and continually improving how we operate.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Lead and develop a high-performing venue leadership team.
n
- Drive exceptional customer experiences across all areas of the business.
n
- Monitor venue performance, budgets, labour costs and profitability.
n
- Coach, mentor and support department managers to achieve outstanding results.
n




- Lead continuous improvement across systems, processes and service standards.
n
- Foster a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture.
n
- Ensure compliance with workplace, food safety and liquor licensing requirements.
n
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and wider leadership team to achieve business objectives.
n
- Support venue functions, events and seasonal initiatives.
n

About You

n

You're an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys developing people as much as delivering results.

n

You'll bring:

- Proven experience leading hospitality or venue management teams.
n
- Strong commercial and financial management skills.
n
- The ability to coach, mentor and inspire leaders.
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- Experience managing budgets, labour performance and operational KPIs.
n
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on leadership style.
n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
n
- Current RSA certification.
n

You'll be expected to work reasonable evenings, weekends and key trading periods to provide leadership, support your managers and ensure the venue consistently delivers the exceptional standards Bright Brewery is known for.
