About the Role
n
The MDU is a specialist state-wide service providing care for patients with a broad range of inherited metabolic conditions, including phenylketonuria, lysosomal storage disorders, glycogen storage diseases and mitochondrial disease.
n
Key Accountabilities
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
- Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of clinical trials within the Metabolic Diseases Unit.
n
- Prepare and manage ethics and governance submissions, study documentation and regulatory requirements.
n
- Recruit, consent and support participants throughout their research journey.
n
- Maintain accurate study records,
data entry and reporting in accordance with Good Clinical Practice standards.
n
n
About You
n
n
- Registered Nurse with at least two years' experience as a Research Nurse or Study Coordinator.
n
- Demonstrated experience coordinating clinical trials and managing multiple priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
n
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
n
- Experience developing clinical guidelines, protocols and research documentation.
n
- Experience working in rare disease or metabolic disease clinical trials.
n
- Previous experience preparing ethics submissions and maintaining HREC correspondence.
n
