Job Description
What's the role?
n
An exciting opportunity for a Court Reporter to join Australia's largest media organisation. Work for News Corp's NewsWire providing valuable content for all mastheads, news.com.au and the Australian as well as external clients. This is a fulltime, permanent position based out of our Surry Hills, Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Create unique and engaging news stories and features
n
- Write both hard-hitting news and engaging features
n
- Work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced newsroom
n
- Contribute to a multimedia newsroom serving one of Australia's largest mastheads across digital and print platforms
n
- Some weekend and intra-state travel may be required
n
n
Who are you?
n
n
- A history of court reporting for print and online
n
- Proven track record of delivering front page stories
n
- Display a good understanding of social media and its application to your stories
n
- A solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and media law
n
- High levels of personal organisation and time management
n
- Flexibility around working days and hours
n
- Must have personal driver's licence
n
