About the Prospect

n

Due to consistent growth across our branch, we are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our high-performing team in Berkeley, NSW. You'll be working on modern manual lathes, producing precision components to tight tolerances, and playing a key role in our production machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate modern manual lathes, mills, and other workshop machinery.
n
- Operate CNC lathes to produce precision components.
n
- Achieve tight tolerances on a range of jobs.
n
- Interpret engineering drawings, measuring equipment, and documentation.
n
- Complete accurate assessment of components and reports.
n
- Attend toolbox talks and contribute to a strong safety culture.
n
- Perform work safely and comply with WHS procedures at all times.
n

About You

n

n
- Previous experience in manual and production machining, including machining large items.
n
- Experience using CNC lathes.
n
- Proficient in external and internal thread cutting.
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in training and mentoring others.
n
- Ability to work well within a team, autonomously, and unsupervised.
n
- An understanding of hydraulic repairs would also be advantageous.
