About your new role / Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Perform daily maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the site's fleet of kiln cars.
n
- Complete routine block alignment, block replacement, and soft seal inspections and replacement.
n
- Inspect kiln car frames and skirts for damage and carry out repairs as required.
n
- Assist with complete kiln car rebuilds, including stripping old materials and rebuilding to specification.
n
- Perform steel fabrication, cutting, welding, and repairs to kiln car frames and structures.
n
- Install castable, Cal-Sil boards, vermiculite, Kao Wool, scoria, and kiln blocks to manufacturer specifications.
n
- Conduct quality inspections on completed kiln cars prior to Project Engineer sign-off.
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
n
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area, including the kiln car repair facility.
n




- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
n
- Assist with general maintenance duties and other tasks as required.
n

Qualifications and Experience:

n

n
- Experienced individual within Bricklaying and manufacturing capacity.
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
n
- Robust problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
n
- Forklift Licence highly regarded.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and housekeeping.
n
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a team.
