Job Description
Are you a Certificate III qualified ISS Educator passionate about supporting children and families?

SDN Mosman is seeking an ISS Educator for our Preschool room with relevant work experience in inclusion support. The role requires passion for quality education, child safety and a great team player to make an impact every day, play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of children.

About The Role
n
This will include:
n
n
- Develop and maintain nurturing relationships and communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis
n
- Promote and guide positive behaviour
n
- Collaborate with children about their interests and support children in learning about the decision-making process
n
- Create a stimulating, positive and appropriate environment to foster and support development (physical, social, emotional, language, creative and cognitive)
n
- Create an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitions
n
- Provide physical care, assisting children in toileting, dressing and mealtimes and identify and respond to children's cues and needs
n
- Assist in the observation and evaluation of the children's development
n
- Assist in developing good nutritional practices for children
n
- Ensure that the dignity and rights of each child are maintained at all times
n
- Assist in the management of a group or groups of children
n
- Implement and maintain the elements of National Quality Standards (NQS) and EYLF
n
- Ensure regular exchange of relevant centre-based information
n
n
About You
n
You will have
n
n
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
n
- Current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
n
- Foundation of Child Safety Training Certificate
n
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
n
- Experience in a similar role
n
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
n
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
n
- Excellent relationship building skills
n
- Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification.
n
n

Our Mosman Centre provides early childhood education and care for 56 children per day in the beautiful Lower North Shore suburb of Mosman and has a real feel of being 'a home away from home'.
