We're looking for a Project Engineer who wants to take ownership of project components, work closely with stakeholders and play a key role in delivering defensible, high-quality outcomes.
n
What you'll be responsible for
n
You will:
n
n
- Own and deliver key project components from planning through to close-out
n
- Translate field and inspection data into structured, audit-ready deliverables
n
- Drive coordination across PMs, councils, contractors and field teams
n
- Manage and contribute to contract administration (progress claims, variations, RFIs, defects)
n
- Ensure documentation, data and records are accurate, compliant and defensible
n
- Track progress, manage priorities and keep deliverables moving
n
- Identify risks early and take action to resolve issues before they escape
n
n
What sets you apart
n
You're a practical engineer who understands how projects actually run and enjoy supporting delivery from behind the scenes.
n
Ideally you will have:
n
n
- Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years' practical experience
n
- Experience across civil works delivery, construction, and/or disaster recovery environments
n
- Strong attention to detail and confidence interpreting drawings, specs, schedules of rates
n
- Exposure to QA, documentation or contract admin processes
n
- Strong organisation and communication skills, able to coordinate across councils, PMs and field teams
n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document/project management systems
n
- A proactive mindset - you don't wait for problems, you find and fix them
n
- C Class licence and willing to travel occasionally.
n
n
Bonus if you've worked in DRFA, local government or audit/compliance-heavy environments.
n
