Resource Labour Hire is seeking an experienced Horticulture Parks & Gardens Supervisor / Team Leader to oversee a team in the CBD (Wellington Parade) onsite - you'll be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of commercial, council, and public open-space sites throughout Melbourne's CBD.

n

This role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high-quality parks, gardens and landscaped areas, and has the ability to motivate and manage a small team while remaining hands-on in the field.

Position:

- Permanent, secure employment - Casual (Temp to Perm Options for immediate start)

- Salary package of $80,000 - $95,000 + Super

We Want:

As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for organising daily activities, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining high presentation standards across a range of sites.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Supervising and coordinating a field-based maintenance crew
n
- Conducting daily pre-starts and allocating workloads
n
- Monitoring job quality and site presentation standards
n
- Performing turf, garden and landscape maintenance activities
n




- Operating commercial mowing and landscaping equipment
n
- Managing weed control programs and vegetation management works
n
- Planting, mulching, pruning and general garden rejuvenation tasks
n
- Completing site inspections and reporting requirements via digital systems
n
- Ensuring compliance with workplace safety procedures and industry standards
n
- Assisting with training and mentoring team members
n

n

What we Need:

n

We're looking for someone with real experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, parks and gardens, or a similar outdoor maintenance environment.

n

To be considered, you will have:

n

n
- Experience leading or supervising a team in an outdoor maintenance setting
n
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
n
- White Card
n
- Current & Valid WWCC Working with Children's Card
n
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
n
- Ability to plan workloads and meet service delivery requirements
n
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
n
- A reliable and proactive attitude
n

Highly Regarded & Needed

n

n
- Certificate III in Horticulture minu, Parks & Gardens, Landscaping or similar
n
- Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) or equivalent spraying qualification
n
- Experience operating commercial mowing equipment and machinery
n

n
