Our client, a fast-growing AI business, is now scaling and seeking Staff Data Scientists to meet the recent increase in client demand across a wide range of industries including healthcare, banking & insurance.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of solving real client problems with start-of-the-art products and practices. The role requires the ability to partner with our clients, coupled with a strong technical background in machine learning, statistical modelling and analytical skills.

What you'll do:
n
You'll be working in an agile environment with multi-disciplinary teams with industries from including healthcare, banking & insurance. Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
n
n
- Build and deploy advanced machine learning models that drive real-world impact for clients.
n
- Develop and fine-tune NLP models using supervised learning (LSTM, CNN, Transformers) and topic modelling to extract meaningful insights and improve language understanding.
n
- Build intelligent AI solutions leveraging LLMs and modern frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent systems to deliver scalable, real-world impact.
n
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative data solutions.
n
- Provide guidance and mentorship to early-career data scientists within the team.
n
- Establish and maintain strong MLOps practices to ensure performance, governance, and compliance.
n
- Play a key role in shaping long‐term data and AI strategies,
including responsible and ethical use of technology.
n

What we're looking for:
n
Our client is seeking an experienced Staff Data Scientist with significant experience in a similar role. Ideally you should have:
n
n
- At least 4 years of experience and relevant university qualifications in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science related fields. A Master's or PhD in this field will be advantageous.
n
- At least 2 years experience with Python programming, advanced SQL and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
n
- Demonstrated experience with working on data science projects with real-world examples.
n
- Commercial experience with NLP techniques and GPT will be highly regarded.
n
- A genuine interest in keeping up to date with generative AI research.
n
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels.
n
