The Role

n

n
- End‐to‐end responsibility for payroll compliance, governance, and audit readiness
n
- Regular review of payroll processes to ensure alignment with legislation, awards, and EBAs
n




- Lead internal and external payroll audits and support remediation activities
n
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
n
- Ensure adherence to tax, superannuation, and statutory obligations
n
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams to strengthen controls
n
- Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
n
- Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
n

The Person

n

n
- Strong payroll experience with a focus on compliance, audit, or risk
n
- In‐depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and EBAs
n
- Experience in audit preparation, reporting, and remediation
n
- Highly detail‐oriented with strong analytical skills
n
- Confident stakeholder engagement across payroll, HR, and finance
n
- Experience in large or complex payroll environments preferred
n
- Exposure to iChris and UKG preferred not essential
n
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and present best practice
n
- Full working rights in Australia (permanent position)
