About the role
n
As Leading Hand (Trade Asset Services), you will be a key member of the Works and Field Services team, responsible for delivering skilled maintenance and minor construction works across a range of community assets.
n
In this hands-on role you will lead by example to ensure parks, reserves, playgrounds, and associated infrastructure are maintained to high safety and quality standards. The team work a 4-day week (Mon to Thursday) - 6am to 4pm.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Conduct inspections and reporting and maintenance of parks, reserves, and playgrounds.
n
- Complete skilled maintenance of fencing, pathways, shelters, retaining walls, shade sails and outside furniture
n
- Safely operate a range of plant and equipment, including a Kanga, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and job truck.
n
- Foster a safe working environment for staff and the community.
n
- Assist in coordinating daily work activities and contribute to the delivery of high-quality maintenance outcomes.
n
n
This role is ideal for a motivated trade qualified with experience in construction, landscaping, or playground maintenance who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining community spaces.

About you
n
To be successful in this role you will have:
n
n
- Current C Class Driver License
n
- Current MR Drivers Licence would be an advantage.
n
- Relevant trade certificate would be an advantage.
n
- Construction Card
n
- Ability to be agile, resilient, passionate, community focused, to adjust at short notice.
n

This is a permanent full-time role with a salary commencing at $75,146 (with the ability to progress in salary level upon completion of required competencies) plus 12.5% superannuation.
