Wheels of Wellness (WoW) is a Cairns-based charity providing specialised primary healthcare services to people experiencing homelessness, housing instability and social disadvantage across Far North Queensland.
n
We are seeking an organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our GP clinic and administration functions. This is a hands-on role responsible for clinic operations, workforce administration, payroll, compliance coordination and supporting a small administration team.
n
Working closely with the CEO and Remote Practice Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our services operate efficiently while helping improve health outcomes for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Coordinate reception and administration workflows
n
- Oversee day-to-day clinic and office operations
n
- Manage payroll and workforce administration
n
- Coordinate staff onboarding, rostering and leave administration
n
- Maintain workforce compliance and credentialing records
n
- Support accounts payable and receivable using Xero
n
- Coordinate office facilities, suppliers, fleet and assets
n
- Support accreditation, quality improvement and WHS processes
n
- Provide leadership and support to reception and administration staff
n
- Assist with reception coverage when required
n

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:
n
n
- Experience in office management, administration leadership or clinic administration
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- Experience with payroll, rostering and staff administration
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills
n
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
n
- A compassionate and non-judgemental approach
n
n
Desirable:
n
n
- Experience in a healthcare, primary care, community services or not-for-profit setting.
n
- Experience using Best Practice software.
n
- Experience using Xero.
n
- Knowledge of accreditation, quality improvement or compliance systems.
n
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
