Role Overview:
n
We are seeking a Hospitality Front of House / Barista to join our cafe and wine bar teams in Brendale.
n
You'll be part of a team that values highenergy, strong product knowledge, and consistently exceptional customerexperiences across all venues.
n
We're looking for someone who is confident,engaging, and genuinely passionate about hospitality, with a natural ability toconnect with customers and deliver outstanding service wherever they areworking on any given day.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere
n
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
n
- Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally
n
- Provide menu recommendations and explain products
n
- Prepare coffee (espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, etc.) to standard recipes
n
- Steam and texture milk correctly
n
- Maintain consistency in drink quality and presentation
n
- Prepare other beverages (tea, iced drinks, smoothies)
n
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
n
- Process cash, EFTPOS, and contactless payments
n
- Balance tills and handle transactions accurately
n
- Keep the café, serving areas, and tables clean and tidy
n
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
n
- Clean coffee machines, grinders, and equipment regularly
n
- Restock cups, lids, milk,
and supplies
n
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
n
- Communicate effectively during busy periods
n
- Manage time effectively during peak hours
n
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
n
- Refill display cabinets and fridges
n
- Help with opening and closing procedures
n
- Contribute to creating a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere for customersacross all sites
n
Skills & Qualifications Required:
n
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willing to obtain quickly
n
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail bottleshop, FOH service, café, or bar environment
n
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine focus on creating positivecustomer experiences
n
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, outgoing, andprofessional manner
n
- Well-presented, energetic, and approachable personality
n
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in busy, fast-paced environments
n
- Basic experience with POS systems and cash handling
n
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a strong work ethic
n
- Team-focused attitude with willingness to support across differentvenues as needed
