GEOTECHNICAL DRILLER

Geotechnical Driller role based in Sydney. Looking for a Geotech Driller who knows their way around a site investigation and takes pride in quality work. This is a permanent, residential role based out of Sydney.

Geotechnical drilling is technical, skilled work. You will collect data that engineers, geologists, and project managers rely on to make critical decisions.

- Long‐term placement with an established Sydney geotech contractor

- Exposure to diverse project types including infrastructure, civil, and environmental
n
- Senior driller or supervisory progression for the right candidate

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Operating drill rigs for geotechnical site investigations across Greater Sydney
n
- SPT, thin‐wall sampling, rock coring, standpipe installation
n
- Managing rig set‐up, pack‐down, daily maintenance
n
- Collecting, labelling, logging soil and rock samples to specification
n
- Completing field logs, pre‐starts, site safety documentation
n




- Coordinating with site engineers and geologists on sampling requirements
n
- Supervising offsiders where applicable
n

What you'll need

n

- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in geotechnical drilling
n
- Manual MR Class Licence
n
- Solid understanding of sampling techniques and field documentation
n
- Safety‐first approach, ability to work autonomously on site
n
- Able to pass a pre‐employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
n

Highly regarded

- Certificate II or III in Drilling Operations
n
- Experience with auger, mud rotary, or sonic drilling
n
