About the role
n
Working closely with leading ex big four partners with broad networks. This role will focus on transaction advisory services in a diverse and team driven way. The right individual will not be focused on just one aspect but will be able to sharpen their tools across all aspects of Transactions and M&A.;
n
Duties can include:
n
n
- Assist the performance of (buy-side and sell-side) due diligence on M&A; transactions, IPO assignments (as Investigating Accountants) and other ad hoc advisory projects as required for private equity and corporate clients
n
- Plan assignments, including identifying engagement risk, and in that environment, determining the appropriate strategy in conjunction with the Partners
n
- Analysis of market data including earnings multiples and discount rates observable from listed companies and available M&A; transactional evidence
n
- Developing valuation models for businesses, intangible assets and financial instruments
n
- Depending on the risk and complexity of the project, preparing all or sections of valuation reports
n
- Project management of valuation and other assignments including client contact and managing the project team;
n
- Participate in Business Development Initiatives e.g. client presentations, key client account, and develop and maintain your own network of contacts.
n
- Review and interpret financial statements and other financial data
n
- Prepare and review detailed financial analysis to illustrate key business drivers and performance indicators
n
- Lead question & answer sessions with target businesses and their advisors
n
- Draft comprehensive and succinct due diligence reports, including executive summaries
n
- Ensure time and budgetary constraints are met
n
n
About you
n
n
- 2 plus years transactions experience. Gained in a big four or similar environment.
n
- CA or CFA qualified or part qualified with experience gained within the Chartered Accounting industry preferably within corporate finance or transactions.
n
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and financial modelling skills
n
- Demonstrated report writing skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
n
- Ability to mentor and coach junior members of the team as well as competently reviewing their work and identifying any potential issues.
n
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing business workplace and deliver on deadlines.
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong stakeholder management experience.
n
