We are currently partnering with a modern regional hospital in the Hunter Valley to recruit General Practitioners with Emergency Medicine experience to join a high-performing Emergency Department as Visiting Medical Officers.
n
This is a great opportunity to build a long-term Emergency Medicine career within a large, contemporary district hospital (Tier 2 facility) with approximately 300+ beds, servicing a rapidly growing regional population.

Emergency Department Overview
n
n
- Sees approximately 150 patients per day, with around one-third paediatric presentations
n
- Maintains an admission rate of 20–22% across multiple specialties
n
- Acts as a referral hub for several surrounding rural hospitals
n
- Focuses strongly on patient flow, clinical decision‐making and safe care pathways
n
- Operates with a collaborative senior medical team and structured supervision model
n
n

Requirements
n
n
- MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration
n
- Fellowship of RACGP (FRACGP) or equivalent
n
- Experience or solid interest in Emergency Medicine
n
- Completion of, or willingness to undertake, Emergency Life Support training
n
- Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork and ongoing professional development
n
