We are a young and expanding Truck & Equipment company maintaining iconic brands such as Isuzu, Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, Iveco, and we are the local agent for Cummins & Detroit engines with 11 sites throughout SE QLD and NSW. We are committed to developing and delivering excellent customer service through our team. The Role Wideland Trucks & Equipment are looking for an experienced Motor Mechanics to join our dynamic team based in Parkhurst, North Rockhampton, and Muswellbrook.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

n

n
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
n
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
n
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed
n
- Carry out mechanical repairs and servicing to meet or exceed industry standards within required timeframes
n
- Assist in product issue diagnosis and bidding for technical advice
n




- Complete all relevant documentation and reporting relating to quality control.
n
- Complete timecards accurately reporting all time, inventory, and consumables
n
- Demonstrate care of equipment and tools, and maintain a clean working area
n
- Perform all tasks with an attention to detail Complete timecards accurately reporting all time, inventory, and consumables

- Attend specific training as required by Wideland Group and/or manufacturer
n
- Maintain a high level of efficiency on all ROs

To be successful in this role, you need to have the following:

n

n
- Relevant trade qualifications (preferred)
n
- Qualified Motor Mechanic with a minimum 2 plus years' post trade experience in working on, repairing, and servicing 4WD, utilities and other light vehicle engines
n
- Robust work ethic and ability to work as a team player
n
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
n
- Attention to detail - "Fix it right first time"
n
- Current and valid driver's class 'C' license
n

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum You will need the ability to work unsupervised in the workshop and in the field always striving to deliver first class quality repairs & excellent customer service.
