Job Description
Carpenter Location: Brisbane, QLD Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per annum plus superannuation (depending on experience)

About the Role
n
Due to continued business growth and an increasing number of residential and commercial construction projects, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will undertake a broad range of carpentry duties across recent construction, renovations, extensions and commercial fit-out projects while working closely with site supervisors, builders and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans and project specifications to complete carpentry work to a high standard.
n
- Measure, prepare and install timber, engineered timber and other construction materials in accordance with project requirements.
n
- Construct and install wall and roof framing, flooring systems, staircases, ceilings, partitions and structural timber components.
n
- Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, cladding, cabinetry supports and other internal and external building elements.
n
- Complete fit-out and finishing carpentry for residential and commercial construction projects.
n
- Carry out repairs, alterations and refurbishment works to existing buildings as required.
n
- Ensure all carpentry work complies with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards and company quality requirements.
n
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
n
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure construction milestones are achieved within project timeframes.
n
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
n
- Assist with material estimation, site preparation and quality inspections throughout the construction process.
n

Essential Requirements
n
n
- Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised qualification).
n
- At least two years of relevant full-time post-qualification experience (or equivalent).
n
- Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
n
- Ability to accurately interpret building plans and technical drawings.
n
- Strong understanding of Australian building practices and construction methods.
n
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.
n
- Current White Card.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a construction team.
n
