An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly credentialed Health, Safety and Quality skilled to lead their Melbourne operations. The HSQ Manager plays a critical role in shaping and maintaining a strong safety and quality culture across ResourceCo. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving policies, systems, and processes to meet high operational standards while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative obligations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert advice on the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSQ policies, strategies, targets, objectives, and KPIs.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
- Ensure HSQ systems align with legislative and regulatory requirements and reflect industry best practices.




- Ensure organisational compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Manage and maintain accreditations for ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 9001 (Quality Management), and NHVR Accreditation.
- Lead Chain of Responsibility compliance nationally, staying up to date with regulatory changes and updating relevant policies and procedures accordingly.
- Conduct operational quality audits across state operations.
- Facilitate risk assessments, incident reviews, and investigations, identifying key learnings and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and present monthly HSQ performance reports for the ResourceCo Group Board and leadership teams.
- Actively promote and lead a positive safety and quality culture throughout the organisation.
- Deliver regular briefings and updates to operational and leadership teams on changes in HSQ legislation and standards, as well as engaging with managers, supervisors, and staff at all levels to ensure HSQ practices are understood, implemented, and sustained.
- Manage the injury management and workers' compensation processes, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive HSQ and operational management experience in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of the Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and specific industry requirements including strong NHVR knowledge.
- Expert knowledge of contemporary approaches to HSQ leadership.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively consult, facilitate and influence peers and stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Good computer literacy including use of excel as an analytical and reporting tool.
