The Prospect
Royal Freemasons is looking for caring and committed Food Services Assistants to join our friendly team at Monash Gardens. In this rewarding role, you’ll support older Australians by helping deliver high‑quality meals and a positive dining experience in a person‑centred environment.
As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll contribute to residents’ daily comfort by assisting with meal preparation, plating, serving, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining space. Your dedication to great service and respect for residents’ preferences will help create meaningful moments each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining clean, well‑presented dining rooms
- Preparing, serving, and presenting meals in line with the Food Safety Program
- Ensuring correct meals are provided according to dietary and specialised nutritional needs
- Delivering high‑quality customer service and interacting professionally with residents during meal services
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience in hospitality, food services, or aged care (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, organisation, and commitment to hygiene and safety
- A genuine passion for supporting older people
Key Requirements
- Valid Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Covid‑19 vaccination (three doses) and annual Flu Vaccine encouraged; proof of Covid‑19 vaccination required before commencement
- Food Handling Certificate
