The Role

n

The Shift Manager – Robotics is a hands‐on leadership role responsible for the day‐to‐day operation, performance, and continuous improvement of automated robotic welding cells.

n

You will lead a team of operators to deliver safe, high‐quality, and efficient production outcomes, while working closely with Engineering and Maintenance to optimise robotics performance and maximise uptime.

n

Key responsibilities

n

n




- Leading daily operations of robotic welding cells to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
n
- Ensuring WHS compliance and the safe operation of robotic equipment
n
- Monitoring and improving production KPIs including throughput, quality, and utilisation
n
- Collaborating with Engineering and Maintenance teams to optimise robotic programs, tooling, and uptime
n
- Leading, training, and developing team members across the shift
n
- Driving lean initiatives, process improvements, and best‐practice methodologies
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Proven experience in a supervisory or shift leadership role within manufacturing
n
- Hands‐on experience with industrial robotic welding systems (VALK or similar highly regarded)
n
- Background in metal fabrication and welding processes
n
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
n
- Confident people leader with strong communication skills
n
- High‐energy, practical, and results‐driven mindset
n
