We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our specialist medical practice in Townsville. This is a hands-on management role suited to a highly organised experienced medical Practice Manager who is confident overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy multi specialist practice supporting both clinical and administrative teams.
About the role
The Practice Manager is responsible for the effective operation and leadership of the practice, including:
- managing and supporting administrative staff
- overseeing daily practice operations and workflow
- staff management, performance and HR
- rostering, leave, and workforce coordination
- financial and administrative oversight, including billing and reconciliation
- maintaining practice policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- supporting accreditation, WHS, privacy, and regulatory compliance
- liaising with stakeholders
- managing systems, processes including operational improvements
- recruitment, onboarding, and staff training
- identifying and resolving operational issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up
- supporting the practice’s continued development and efficiency.

- The ability to work collaboratively with doctors and clinical staff.
Desirable skill requirements
- Previous experience as a medical practice manager, medical clinical coordinator, or non-medical practice manager.
- Experience within a specialist or medical practice will be highly regarded.
- Experience with Genie Solutions practice management software is highly desirable.
- Experience managing staff and overseeing a medical practice environment.
- Strong knowledge of medical administration and practice operations.
