The Role
n
We are seeking a Mechanical BIM Modeller to join our Building Services team based in Melbourne or Sydney. In this role, you will play a key role in delivering high‐quality digital models and documentation, with a current focus on major data centre projects. This role will work collaboratively with our established National Digital Delivery Team. We're looking for a professional who can operate autonomously, take ownership of digital delivery locally, and remain hands‐on with modelling and documentation as we continue to grow our national team.

Key Accountabilities
n
n
- Producing Revit MEP drawings, modelling and documentation for Building Services projects.
n
- Creating BIM models based on design engineer markups and schematic design for construction delivery.
n
- Creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.
n
- Preparing detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams and documentation based on project requirements.
n
- Maintaining discipline models by managing project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match‐lines, views and sheets.
n
- Collaborating with project teams to review,
interpret, and integrate engineering markups into BIM deliverables.
n
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards and other relevant information management protocols.
n
- Using computational design tools like Dynamo and Grasshopper to automate repetitive tasks and optimise workflows.
n
- Performing clash detection and coordination using software like Navisworks or similar.
n
- Assist with interdisciplinary coordination and project delivery within a Common Data Environment eg. Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar.
n
- Producing 2D & 3D CAD drawings as required.
n
- Liaising with engineering teams to ensure client requirements and project delivery timeframes are met.
n
- Completing drawing issue sheets in collaboration with engineers.
n
- Participating in project meetings and liaising with stakeholders, including clients and consultants.
n
- Developing an understanding of HDR quality management systems to maintain high standard of work.
n
- Assisting with document control and project filing.
n
- Performing other duties as required.
n

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience with Revit MEP drafting or related field.
n
- 5+ years' experience working on Building Services projects.
n
- Experience in a consulting environment working on mid to large scale health, commercial and data centre projects – highly desirable.
n
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for modeling, documentation, and parametric family creation.
n
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD is an advantage.
n
- Familiarity with Rhinoceros (Rhino) and Grasshopper for advanced geometry and computational design.
n
- Knowledge of Python scripting for BIM automation, C# and Revit API customisation - desirable.
n
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu for reviewing and annotating project documents.
n
- Competent managing file interoperability between tools (eg. Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD).
n
- Basic understanding of Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) for open data exchange.
n
- Experience working in a Common Data Workplace (CDE) to manage and share project data.
n
- Strong verbal and written communication.
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
n
- Ability to work independently as part of geographically dispersed team.
n
