Logan City Council

If you enjoy finding practical solutions, improving the way things work and being the person people rely on to get things done, we would love to hear from you!

Key points:

- Permanent full-time opportunity within Corporate Property | 9-day fortnight
- Opportunities for professional development and growth within local government
- Employee benefits: BUPA, generous leave, fitness passport and more

Salary from: Stream A Level 4.1 ($89k) + superannuation

Things need fixing. But that's only part of the story.

One minute you might be responding to a maintenance issue, inspecting a building asset, or coordinating a contractor on site. The next, you are updating asset information, checking compliance requirements, managing operational stock, supporting planned works, or helping ensure one of Council's facilities continues running safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership and likes being out and about solving problems.

Position responsibilities include:

- Support the maintenance and operation of Council facilities.
- Conduct facility inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Perform minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate asset records and documentation.
- Coordinate contractor access and monitor service delivery.
- Report asset, safety, and compliance issues.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who notices the details. The person who spots the issue before it becomes a bigger problem. The person who sees a maintenance defect, a safety concern, or an opportunity to improve a process and does something about it.

You will bring practical maintenance experience, strong organisational skills and a genuine commitment to safety and customer service. You will be comfortable working independently, building positive relationships with contractors, service providers and internal customers, and balancing hands‑on work with the administration needed to keep accurate records and maintain compliance.

Most importantly, you will be someone who takes pride in doing the job properly,

looks for better ways of working and leaves things better than you found them.

- We value people who:
- Roll up their sleeves and pitch in.
- Take ownership and follow things through.
- Notice the details others might miss.
- Think about solutions, not just problems.
- Build positive relationships with customers and contractors.
- Keep accurate records and take pride in good information.

Requirements:

To be considered for and employed in this position, applicants must satisfactorily complete the following pre‑employment screening checks, as applicable:

- Work Rights
- Satisfactory references
- Functional Capacity Evaluation
- Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence
- Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
