About the Role

We're looking for a Team Leader to join a well‐established retail store in Melville. You'll lead a small, motivated team, support day‐to‐day operations, and deliver exceptional service to both retail and trade customers. It's a hands‐on role where your trade experience and people skills truly shine – helping others choose the right products and get great results.

- Full‐time 38‐hour week including regular weekend hours

- Salary package from $72k

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead, coach, and support a small, close‐knit team
n
- Deliver expert product and colour advice to retail and trade customers
n
- Assist with tinting, mixing, and ensuring top‐quality results
n
- Manage inventory, merchandising, and store presentation
n
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming setting
n
- Build lasting relationships with painters, builders, and DIY clients
n

About You

n

- Background in painting, trade, or paint retail (ideal for qualified painters looking for a new direction)
n
- Confident communicator with a customer‐first mindset
n
- Natural leader with strong coaching and problem‐solving skills
n
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable in a hands‐on retail environment
n
- Tech‐savvy with basic POS or stock control experience
n
- Current driver's licence required
n
