On the House Group

Melbourne

Toilet paper is free in every bathroom. Period products aren't.

3 in 5 Australian women have used tissues, toilet paper or socks because the product they needed wasn't there when they needed it. Not because it's expensive. Because nobody built the infrastructure to put it in front of her.

At the same time, brands are spending more than ever to reach women, with worse results every year. $1 trillion a year on ads. Falling attention. Falling trust. Women control roughly 85% of household spending and most of that money is chasing them through channels they've learned to ignore.

Two broken markets. Nobody had connected them.

How it works

ON THE HOUSE installs vending machines in high-traffic bathrooms that double as digital billboards.

Brands pay to reach women in a zero-distraction, high-gratitude moment. Those ad dollars fund free, organic period products.

Every interaction is a two-way exchange: she walks away with something free and useful, and brands walk away with brand lift, clear attribution, and a world-first kind of data: consented, transparent, verified, every time.

We're live in venues

like Accor and Hyatt Hotels, Dendy Cinemas, Dreamworld, Village Roadshow, and Revelop Shopping Centres.

We're working with iconic brands

like Afterpay, Frontier Touring, 2XU, and Pillow Talk.

We're hearing amazing feedback from women:

"Thank you thank you thank you for taking the initiative to do something like this especially as women this is not something we can help so having a moment where we can have it provided is amazing. Thank you from one very thankful person, this helps for them you know :)""Thanks for providing such an significant service to females that get caught out in public""I love that period product are made accessible at the gym. Now I can enjoy knowing that if you get your period you don't have to leave the gym for the product you need."

And this is just the beginning.

The Role

Every venue we bring on is another place where a woman never has to go without. Every venue we haven't signed yet is a bathroom somewhere that still doesn't have what she needs. ON THE HOUSE is free for the venue. We take care of costs, install, restocking, maintenance, insurance, everything. It’s the easiest pitch you’ll ever do, and the venues LOVE IT.

That's the job: turn venue groups into partners, one deal at a time, until there's nowhere left where she goes without.

We’re hiring a Venue Partnerships Team Lead to own and build out our Venue Partnerships team, the people who own the full journey of bringing venues into the ON THE HOUSE network,

from the first conversation to a signed portfolio-wide partnership. This is a leadership role, whilst also being deep in the venue relationships yourself. You'll work with your team to build pipeline, run the pitch, negotiate the deal, and keep growing the relationship long after the ink is dry.

You'll set the venue strategy, lead a team of two Venue Partners from day one, and personally carry the biggest, most complex deals: the national groups, the multi-site portfolios, the ones with revenue share on the table.

You're not stepping back from the work to manage it. You're running the function and doing the job at the same time. If a deal is stuck, you're on the call. If the pipeline is thin, you're building it. If a venue needs looking after, you can be the one who picks up.

You'll report directly to our COO. The team grows from here.

In a year's time, we want you to be able to point at the network and say: I did that. I'm the reason ON THE HOUSE is in a thousand venues, and the reason women in every one of them have what they need without having to ask.

Applications close 30th August

What You'll Own

Strategy & the number

- Own the venue strategy: which venue types, which groups, which markets, in what order
- Carry the target: Venues signed, machines live, and the pipeline that gets us there
- Build the playbook the team runs on: outreach, pitch, objection handling, handover

The big deals

- Personally own the strategic groups: national portfolios, multi-site operators, the conversations that unlock twenty sites instead of one
- Negotiate the complex commercials, including revenue share, working with our third-party legal provider where it gets technical
- Land one site, then upsell and expand across the full portfolio

Leading the team

- Manage two Venue Partners from day one, one focused on retail, one across everything else
- Run pipeline reviews, coach the pitch, unblock stuck deals, lift conversion across the team
- Hire and onboard as the team grows

Still in the weeds

- Run your own pipeline and your own venue relationships, start to finish
- Work closely with our Senior Ops Lead to navigate the hand off of venues for install cleanly,

then stay the trusted contact long after
- Be the person venue partners come back to. Proactive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to deal with

Core outcomes:

venues signed across the team, machine count growth within existing venue groups, venue retention, pipeline volume and conversion rate.

What We're Really Looking For

Must-haves

- Real management experience. You've led a small commercial or partnerships team, run pipeline reviews, coached people through live deals, and been accountable for a number that wasn't only yours.
- Still hands-on, recently. Sharp on the phone, comfortable in the room, and not looking for a role where you stop working with clients. Half this job is your own patch.
- Comfortable with contracts and commercials. Not a lawyer, but confident negotiating terms, structuring revenue share, pushing back, and working with a third-party legal provider on the edge cases.
- Great with people. Not just good, genuinely great. People trust you fast and enjoy dealing with you.
- A strong pitcher. You can take a pitch that already exists, make it better, make it your own, and get someone to genuinely understand why we're great.
- Comfortable taking pushback and reframing it. Most objections we hear have a real answer, you just need to frame it up for them.

Nice to have

- Experience selling into or working with large property groups, retail landlords, hotel groups, or facilities management

The kind of person you are

- Owns the whole machine: If something's broken, you don't wait for someone else to fix it. You work out why, and you own it end to end. Here, that means the venue function is yours: your deals, your team's deals, every relationship from first call to final install and beyond.
- Makes the people around you better: You'll have two people whose ramp, confidence and conversion rate sit with you. You want that, not tolerate it.
- Moves at speed: You'd rather get on the phone today than send a perfect email next week. Done gets you further than perfect, and you'd genuinely rather be hustling than waiting.
- Builds while it's live: Nothing here is finished yet, including the playbook for this exact role. You're fine building it while it's running. It's where you thrive.
- Bring the hype: You'll get a room fired up about their free vending machines, and their patrons that will love them for it, until it's the best thing that's happened to them all year.
- Learn-it-all: Being wrong doesn't bother you. Staying wrong does. You learn faster than the problem changes.
