Seisma Group, backed by Australian-owned superannuation funds and experiencing continued growth across Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand, is seeking experienced Azure Data Engineers to join a premium Government services client on a large-scale Data Management Platform (DMP) project. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Data Lakehouse environment, leveraging Azure Data Fabric and Informatica to deliver robust, scalable, and secure data solutions that enable advanced analytics capabilities.

About the Role

n

As a Azure Data Engineer, you will design, build, manage, and maintain data products in Microsoft Azure based on business requirements. You'll work with a multi-vendor and in-house team to enhance existing pipelines, develop new ones, and optimise the medallion architecture to support analytics and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop data products in Microsoft Azure aligned with business requirements.
n
- Design and implement ETL solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics or Informatica.
n
- Create automated workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Pipelines, or Informatica.
n
- Develop semantic data models for silver and gold layers of the Data Lake.
n
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and security measures to ensure high-quality, secure data.
n
- Manage Data Warehouses and Data Lakes using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Fabric.
n
- Build solutions for streaming data via Azure Stream Analytics or Azure Event Hubs.
n
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards.
n
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and storage issues.
n
- Collaborate with stakeholders, manage risks, and maintain technical standards.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
n
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and scripting.
n
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques (dimensional modelling, star schema).
n
- Proven ability to collaborate with BA and DBA teams to identify and map data requirements.
n
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.




n
- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
n
- Power BI development and enterprise report maintenance experience.
