About the role and team
We have an opportunity for a Lawyer to Senior Associate to join our high performing Statutory Insurance Victoria team, working across workers' compensation and/or transport accident matters.
The Statutory Insurance Victoria team -comprised of approximately 75 team members based in Melbourne -acts for a large number of employers in the management of workers' compensation claims and litigation. The team also acts in transport accident claims, providing comprehensive support across both jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will manage and advise on a wide range of workers' compensation and/or transport accident matters. They will work closely with and learn from an experienced team of partners and senior lawyers, supported by a dedicated administrative team.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- admitted to practice with relevant statutory insurance experience across workers' compensation and/or transport accident matters.
- the ability to manage an active workload and competing timelines;
- clear and concise legal writing skills;
- strong attention to detail;
- strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships; and
- a proactive, team-oriented approach.
