Equity Analyst - Global Equities - Investment Fund

Collins Executive Recruitment is exclusively engaged by a well-regarded Melbourne-based investment firm with a global listed equities focus. The fund invests across the market-cap spectrum, primarily in developed markets, building high-conviction positions in durable, high-quality businesses. The strategy is long-term, benchmark-agnostic and research-led, with sustained outperformance.

Due to continued growth, my client is looking to appoint a talented analyst to assist with company and sector research, idea generation and portfolio management.

We are seeking disciplined thinkers with strong analytical foundations and a long-term investment philosophy. This role is suited to a professional with either corporate finance, equity research, consulting or funds management experience who is motivated by a concentrated, conviction-led approach and a broad remit.

The Opportunity

n

n
- Conduct fundamental, bottom-up company research across sectors and geographies
n
- Lead financial modelling, valuation work, and primary diligence on public companies
n
- Track portfolio companies and present clear insights on earnings drivers, competitive positioning and capital allocation
n




- Prepare investment papers and contribute directly to investment decision-making
n
- Gain exposure to negotiated opportunities including block stakes, select privates, and structured transactions
n

Requirements

n

n
- 3-7 years' experience in equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, consulting or funds management
n
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
n
- Strong accounting knowledge and the ability to interrogate drivers behind reported numbers
n
- Clear written investment reasoning and evidence-based communication
n
- Demonstrated interest in markets and individual stock selection
n
- Strong academic results
