About the Role

As Leader of Learning – Mathematics, you will provide educational leadership through curriculum innovation, instructional coaching and strategic departmental management. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring teaching, assessment and curriculum are evidence-informed, contemporary and aligned with College priorities.

You will also continue to teach, modelling exemplary classroom practice while supporting colleagues to refine their pedagogy and maximise student learning.

This is a full-time, permanent teaching position with a fixed term Promotional Position.

This role will have a Mathematics teaching load.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead and develop a cohesive, high-performing Mathematics team.
- Drive curriculum planning, assessment and moderation across Years 7–12.




- Build teacher capability through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
- Analyse student achievement data to inform improvement strategies.
- Lead QCAA curriculum implementation, endorsement, confirmation and reporting processes.
- Contribute to whole-school curriculum initiatives and strategic priorities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will possess:

- Demonstrated capacity as an outstanding Mathematics educator with experience teaching across Middle and Senior School.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, QCAA senior syllabuses and contemporary assessment practices.
- The ability to analyse student achievement data and translate insights into strategies that improve learning outcomes.
- Highly developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, with the capacity to build strong relationships across the College community.
- A commitment to evidence-informed pedagogy, innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.




- Queensland teacher registration and a genuine commitment to the Anglican ethos and child-safe culture of West Moreton Anglican College.
