Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join our PRV team in Brisbane, Eagle Farm, to provide legal and contract management expertise for bids, contracts, subcontracts and partnerships within the Protected Vehicles business.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead the contract management for Bushmaster projects to enable successful project completion and delivery.
n
- Lead facilitation of LC&C; outcomes for the Bushmaster portfolio, ensuring robust application of, and compliance to, the Thales Contract Management Operating Model and other areas of contract management policy/governance.
n
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers for new opportunities and contracts entered by PRV to deliver superior business outcomes.
n
- Lead commercial discussion about the use and rights associated with intellectual property (IP) as part of projects, contracts and programs of work.
n
- Support Procurement with subcontracting and relevant supply chain management in accordance with Thales governance and processes.
n
- Lead contract management of major subcontracts under Bushmaster program deliver.
n
- Work closely with Finance to assist and make recommendations to improve financial and value‐for‐money outcomes.
n
- Work closely with senior PRV leaders and management teams to provide LC&C; input focused on high‐value, high‐risk matters.
n
- Ensure adherence to, and compliance with, Thales' internal policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and global document retention and file maintenance policies.
n
- Assist in implementing and improving governance and other processes within PRV to apply and continuously improve contract management, compliance and operational processes and reporting.
n




- Assist in implementing and improving activities to transform aspects of the LC&C; function.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Relevant degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Law or similar.
n
- Professional Commercial / Contract Management qualifications desirable.
n

n

Experience

n

n
- Eight years or more experience in Commercial/Contracts Management or equivalent experience in a relevant professional field (e.g., quantity surveying, procurement, legal practice) combined with sell‐side commercial/contracts experience.
n
- Sound understanding of intellectual property and its application in a complex manufacturing/system‐of‐systems environment.
n
- Sound commercial knowledge and experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver bid and project outcomes.
n
- Demonstrated ability to engage successfully with customers and suppliers to achieve outcomes.
n

Special Requirements

- Must be able to obtain Defence Security Clearance.
n
- Must be able to travel interstate to Bendigo, Melbourne, Eagle Farm and other Thales Australia sites as required.
n
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
