About The Company

Our client is a professional team of hydraulic and mechanical specialists based in the Fraser Coast, just 15 minutes from Hervey Bay.

n

About The Opportunity

n

The primary purpose of this position is to run the day-to-day operation of the workshop, keeping technicians on the tools, jobs flowing, and customers informed.

n

Some of your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing customer service - phones, bookings, repair updates, and collections
n
- Coordinating workshop scheduling - tracking every job, technician, and priority to keep techs moving with no downtime
n
- Building and following up quotes, applying pricing, freight and labour correctly
n
- Sourcing and ordering parts, managing inventory, and coordinating warranty claims
n
- Owning each job through its full lifecycle, from approval through to invoicing
n
- Coordinating mobile service jobs, breakdowns, and route planning across the service trucks
n
- Supporting technicians proactively - parts, approvals, and customer calls sorted before they're needed
n
- Following up quotes and dormant customers, and promoting mobile service and preventative maintenance
n

About You

n





The successful candidate will have:

n

n
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability tojuggle multiple jobs
n
- Excellent communication skills across customers, technicians, and suppliers
n
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset - someone who sees issues coming and sorts them before they escape
n
- Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly
n
- Mechanically minded, or an interest in hydraulic and mechanical equipment - hydraulic knowledge isn't essential, just a willingness to learn
n
- Reliability and accountability, with a strong attention to detail
n
